勞瑞·侯登擁有美國加拿大雙重國籍,于1969-12-17出生于美國加州。她的第一個角色是在TheMartianChronicles火星編年史里扮演邁克爾·安德森的女兒。畢業(yè)于U.C.L.A美國加州大學-洛杉磯分校,是國家榮譽協(xié)會成員,同時獲得過著名的娜塔莉表演獎。此后她就讀于哥倫比亞大學,并獲得人權專業(yè)碩士學位。勞瑞·侯登是加拿大SomalyMamFoundation索馬里-馬姆基金會創(chuàng)始成員之一,同時也是該基金會在美國咨詢委員會委員之一。

勞瑞·侯登的父母分別是演員GlenCorbett和AdrienneEllis。父母離異后,母親再婚嫁給導演邁克爾·安德森。
